Seven stick chair with oil finish

Here is a Welsh stick chair with seven back spindles and four piece arm bow, finger jointed together. As with all the chairs that I make, it has been custom fitted to specific requirements for the client, in this case, a tall chair was required for ease of standing up. While looking around the Castell Carreg gallery and deciding on the style of chair, the client was encouraged to sit in and feel how well each chair fulfils different requirements. In this case, a chair that fully supports the back and with a carved seat for long periods of comfortable sitting and made in oak with an oil finish to match the room décor.
