Welsh stick chair glued up

Yesterday I glued up my latest commissioned chair, the Welsh seven stick comb-back and am delighted with the result. This piece will have an oil finish at the clients request, so I chose some nice dark oak wedges for the arm bow to add a touch of contrast. Now that the chair has been fully assembled it is now time to clean it up, sand off the registration pencil lines and give it several coats of oil, ready for photographing prior to being collected by the client. All in all, a very successful project made to measure specially for the client.

If you like the work that has been documented here on this website, why not drop me a line, or visit the chairs first hand in my Pontypool showroom. There are many chairs to sit in and we can find that Welsh stick chair that will elevate your living space and bring a lifetime and more of comfortable sitting to your home.
